HC GigaLCR was born as custom project for 60 m2 dedicated home cinema room. We've so impressed with it's price/performance, that decided to share it as DIY kit.
This kit is "closed design" kit , but we will provide full instructions to buyers - cabinet pans, crossover schematics and layout. Not for commercial use, do not distribute.
Speakers are quite big in size, will perfectly fit to large home cinemas or listening room. They were designed as stereo speakers, our audio engineers made good efforts to get the most of these relatively inexpensive drivers. The drivers for the project was carefully selected from SB Acoustics range - impressive and unbeatable price/performance drivers. The goal was to get LCR tower speakers with attractive look, smallest possible size while with high sensitivity, lowest possible bass extension and good power handling. Main goal was to make it sound like a true high-end stereo speakers at acceptable price level.
Indeed we have noticed, that many multichannel soundtracks for movies and concerts are mastered with quite low notes for center channel, thus we decided to make center of same size an abilities what L and R towers can do. So, we've added Center channel of the same size for big home theaters.
The goal was to get best sounding home theater with a limited budget for speakers. The result is is much more impressive then well-know mass production consumer and pro speakers from well-known manufacturers which you can find an cinemas arouid the world.
Our engineers regulary visit world exhibitions like ISE, Munich and others and claimed that the result what reached with our HC GigaLCR with addition of custom built in-wall surround and in-ceiling Atmos (based on Seas Prestige) in 11.2 setup was so impressive that it exceeds in sound quality all what they seen and listened on world's demo setups with costs over 250.000eur install costs.
On the setup we've used it with Denon AVC-8500H, it drives speakers fine in 60m2 for movies, but for stereo use some better power amplifier, we've noticed, that Denon's ability to drive low frequencies is not that great.
Amplifier requirements: Will work fine even with inexpensive receivers, but to get most of it we recommend to use good power amplifier. Nominal impedance is 4Ohm, minimum impedance is 3.4Ohm - very safe for most inexpensive hi-fi. We've tested speakers with different stereo equipment (upto 20.000€ setups) and can say - better equipment you use, better sound you get, HC GigaLCRs will not be bottleneck with 10.000€ stereo amplifier.
Drivers
Tweeter is Satori TW29RN - state of the art 96dB silk dome tweeter which you may find in quite expensive high end speakers.

We will provide drawing in PDF: front panel, side panels, top/bottom panels, platform (2 panels), rear panel, internal braces. You can use it to make parts with CNC.
30mm front panel. 21mm MDF with internal bracing to minimize vibrations. Midwoofer's box with non-parallel walls to avoid inner reflections.
We have different front panel drawings, it can be Left /Right or Center:
On-tweeter axis response summed with complex sum of far field, woofer's nearfield and without port response.
** Due to some instability of CLIO and we've save port in dBSPL and far and nearfiled in dbSPL, thus we cannot sum it and microphone calibration file was not loaded, take 1-2dB off in 10-15KHz :)

As you see response on lower end is quite flat - a kind of monitor-style, very lat but punchy.
If we sum it with port we'll get around 32Hz at -2dB.

On-axis and Off-axis horizontal responses: Green- on axis, Red 45grad horizontal, Orange - 30grad vertical
Cross-Over Schematic: minimalistic design, but good phase transition from driver to driver and flat frequency response.
* R7, R6 - we've added the resistors for compatibility with inexpensive receivers. Minimum impedance is 3.4Ohm what is quite safe to use with most of the popular and inexpensive receivers like Denon or Marantz.

We will provide with kit bough. We use point-to-point connections for the best performance.
