The kit is based on 5" Revelator woofers in sealed cabinet.
We offer 2 versions of kit - with Revelator tweeters D2904/710003 and higher end version with TPCD/Textreme Illuminator D3004/666000

The kit is supplied as set of parts and you need so build it yourself.
We can supply cabinets in any color or veneer you'd like and we can supply fully assembled speakers, just ask!

- The goal of design was to develop universal high-sensitivity high-end LCR speaker as for in-wall too on-wall installations in relatively compact cabinet (on 11cm deep!)
- cabinet construction is very simple while have good shape to avoid internal resonances and baffle diffraction problem.
- woofers: 5" Revelators with high max excursion to get best possible low end from compact LCR, what will allow good integration with subwoofer and light come with very good and detailed midrange.
- tweeters: we offer 2 variants, one with silk dome D2904/7100003 (black) or D2904/7100002 (silver) or higher end version with Textreme/TPCD Illiminator D3004/666000.
- crossovers are built to get best frequency and phase response under wide angles. Very good soundstage in stereo and extremely good integration for multichannel setups.
- Our goal was to get best phase transition from woofer to tweeter and have almost linear phase.
- Crossover schematics: 2nd order for woofers, 2nd order for tweeters. Minimalistic design - only 2 coils and 2 capacitors (TPCD Illuminator) and additional 2 resistors (Revelator version)

Cabinets are very simple and can be built at home if proper tool for holes routing available.

Mounting options:
In-wall mounting is made with surround frame machined from 2mm steel. We will add more images soon. Full drawing for cabinet and frame available.
You can mount on-wall with a frame. For interior matching frame can be made with different colors or veneers.

Both crossovers have similar topology - 2nd order. D2904 have additional resistors R1 and R2.

Crossovers have excellent phase allignment, here is an example of reversed tweeter for D2904 version:

Speakers were designed as vertical front LCR channels for in-wall application behind acoustically transparent projection screen and as in-wall surrounds. While we worked on crossover design we also got excellent vertical of-axis and speaker can can be used as horizontal central speaker.
Most MTM D'Appolito designs have a problem with woofer cancellation at certain frequencies under certain angle, but we've got crossover what allow to cover at 3m watching distance from screen upto 4 front seats with +-2db with gentle suck-out at 2.5-3,5kHz, what perceives by brain as a flat due to equal loudness curve.
For installation behind acoustical projection screens we recommend to build baffle and build speakers in.
On-wall version comments: once speaker come out of wall it loose wall support on a lower end and gets baffle edge diffraction problems.
If you use retracting screen or TV and want to use on-wall mounting, we recommend to mount speakers wide. This will balance the response, take a look on graph for on-axis in-wall and 30degress off-axis on-wall

As you see on measurements in-wall speaker have better balance, mounted on-wall on tweeter axis will have edge diffraction on midrange and with 30degreed off-axis it becomes as good as in-wall installation.
For on-nwall installations play with your processor's DSP and "house curve": +1-2dB on a bottom may give you desired balance.
For installation behind screen adjust upper part of response to compensate screen damping.
